About the role
Midware is looking for a skilled MERN Stack Developer to join our front-end development team. In this role you will be entrusted with developing JavaScript applications using Node.js, Express, React.js, and Mongo DB, participate in requirements gathering, UI/UX design sessions, and depending on your skillset, you may be involved with the design and development of middle-tier or back-end components as well.
This role seeks a candidate with working knowledge of JavaScript and React concepts, excellent front-end coding skills, good understanding of progressive web applications, the ability to apply time management techniques, and proactively propose new projects. As a MERN Stack Developer, you will help from conception to completion with projects that are technologically sound and aesthetically impressive on a 100% costa rican tech startup.
Responsibilities:
Translate Wireframes and PSD Designs into functional web apps using HTML5, React , Node.js, and Mongo.
Work in a cross-functional team to deliver a complete user experience.
Be responsive to change requests and feature requests.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application codes.
Meeting with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications.
Developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
Hands on experience on Node js, Mongo DB, React js and Express js.
Experience implementing applications using React.
Experience creating front end applications using HTML5, Java Script and Type Script.
Hands on experience with JavaScript Development on both client and server-side.
Experience with modern frameworks and design patterns.
Ability to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into functional components.
Strong work ethic, and commitment.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
English level B2+.
